About FastLessonHub
FastLessonHub is a free CDL permit practice platform built specifically for commercial drivers who want to pass their knowledge exams the first time — without paying for overpriced prep courses or wading through hundreds of pages of dry manual text.
We started in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with one goal: build the most focused, accurate, and easy-to-use CDL study tool available online. That same standard now extends across all 10 states we cover — every practice question is mapped directly to that state's official CDL handbook, with a specific section citation, so you're always studying the exact material your state actually tests.
FastLessonHub is completely free. No account required. No time limits. No paywalls.

Where We Are Headed
Colorado was just the beginning. FastLessonHub now covers 10 states in full, and we're actively expanding toward covering all 50. Each state has its own CDL manual and specific exam requirements — we build dedicated, accurate practice tools for every one of them, not a generic national test with state names swapped in.
Current status:
We've also published dedicated national guides covering every major CDL endorsement — Hazmat, Tanker, Passenger, School Bus, and Doubles/Triples — plus a complete CDL glossary and CDL renewal guide.
Why We Built This
Getting a CDL is one of the most reliable paths to a stable, well-paying career in the United States. Truck drivers, bus operators, and commercial vehicle operators are in high demand across every state.
But the preparation resources available online are often outdated, cluttered with ads, hidden behind paywalls, or just hard to use on a phone. We built FastLessonHub because we believed there had to be a better way.
A clean interface. Accurate questions. Real explanations. Completely free.
That is FastLessonHub.
How We Verify Accuracy
Every practice question on FastLessonHub is written and reviewed against that state's official CDL handbook, with a specific section citation behind it — the Colorado DR 2251, the Texas DL-7C, the California DMV Commercial Driver Handbook, the Florida FLHSMV handbook, and the New York DMV Commercial Driver's Manual. Regulatory facts referenced in our guides — form numbers, statute citations, fee figures, testing procedures — are checked against the issuing state agency or federal source (FMCSA, TSA) directly, not copied from other websites.
We are not affiliated with any state DMV, DPS, DHSMV, the FMCSA, or the TSA. If you spot an error in any question or guide, please contact us and we will verify and correct it.
